The THEMIS team is happy to welcome among its staff Jorge Romero Castañeda, a first-year PhD student from the Plasma Physics Laboratory (LPP, Paris, France). J. Romero Castañeda will spend one year working with the THEMIS team in the framework of the ANR funded JET2SB project.
J. Romero Castañeda thesis aims at better understanding the link between solar jets and the “switchback” phenomena commonly observed in the inner heliosphere. While the thesis is primarily about numerical modeling of the propagation of jets, J. Romero Castañeda will also carry observations with THEMIS in order to better initiate and constrain his numerical model.
