Doctorship of Jade Touresse

Congratulations to Dr. Jade Touresse!

Our colleague, Dr. Jade Touresse has successfully defended her doctoral thesis, entitled “Propagation of solar coronal jets toward the inner heliosphere: Investigating a solar origin scenario for switchbacks” on September 11th 2026, and obtained her PhD title in Astronomy & Astrophysics from Sorbonne Université (Paris, France), working at the Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas. During the course of her thesis, Dr. Touresse has been a regular visiting researcher of the THEMIS team of FSLAC, benefiting from travel grants from the French INSU/CNRS. She carried several observational campaigns at THEMIS to study the properties of solar coronal jets, in order to constraint and improve the 3D magnetohydrodynamics simulations that she is developing to understand the physics of the propagation of these active events toward the interplanetary medium.
