THEMIS team has a new team member!

Welcome to Édouard WAGNER, who has joined the THEMIS team since the beginning of September 2026.

Édouard has been employed by CNRS for more than 25 years and is joining THEMIS after 7 years working at the NEEL institute in Grenoble (France). Édouard has an extended expertise in instrumentation, interfacing, and automation of experiments through programming in LabVIEW.

Édouard is going to be responsible for all control-command systems of THEMIS, ranging from e.g. piloting the telescope and dome motions, controlling all the motors of the mirrors and focus instrumentation platform of the THEMIS optical path, operating the different cameras, producing the datafiles that will be used for scientific exploitation. Most of all, Edouard will ensure that the operations of all these systems will be done in the necessary coordinated manner required by the complex spectro-polarimetric observations of THEMIS.
